moves is an experimental short film and new media festival exploring new ways of telling stories through fiction and documentary in the form of short films and installations in usual and unusual screening contexts such as cinemas but also in bars, on Big Screens, etc.

moves festival is also the largest UK exhibition platform for choreographed movement in screen-based work and returns for the fourth year in the UK, 22-26 April 2008, with a special focus on the interaction of choreographed movement and sound in screen-based work.

Every year it offers two distinctive components:

• a 6-day international showcase targeting industry professionals as well as mainstream audiences;
• a 9-month regional, national and international tour of the best pieces showcased during the festival.
