moves10's Alternative Routes Award winners - ANNOUNCED!
It was a tough decision, but moves has finally selected the winning artists and pieces. The winners, one artist and three of the films submitted through moves open call, will be touring to moves partner festivals 700IS, FRAME - Research and INTERMODEM throughout the next year.
The Alternative Routes PRIZE is awarded to one artist and their work. The artist will receive a cash prize of € 1000 and will tour together with their work to the partner festivals in Iceland, Portugal and Hungary.
Three other festival entries of moves open call are selected for the Alternative Routes TOUR and are awarded with an international presentation of the works as part of moves programme at the partner festivals.

Alternative Routes is an international network to encourage the transnational circulation of artistic and cultural works, developing a new route for experimental screen-based work.
Network aims:
- supporting the transnational mobility of people working in the cultural sector
- motivating circulation of artistic and cultural works and products
- encouraging intercultural dialogue and exchange

The Alternative Routes Prize winners from Intermodem (2009), Frame Research (2009), 700IS (2010) and moves (2010) are presented at partition_2.0 / fake, Debrecen (Hungary) on 6 May 2010 as part of an international intermedia exhibition.
The exhibition runs until 30 May 2010 (daily 10am-6pm, except Mondays, 12am-8pm on Thursdays)
