Boardmoves’ board includes professionals from the new media, film and dance industries::
Bren O'Callaghan (Chair) Bren O’Callaghan is currently a producer and manager with the BBC Public Space Broadcasting Project. He’s responsible for the BBC Big Screen in Liverpool and facilitation of artistic and interactive content across the rapidly expanding screen network. He has enabled both community-led projects and curated showcases of video and responsive media during Liverpool 2008: European Capital of Culture. Bren's background is a diverse mix of arts production and journalism: from a writer of children's comics to recent experiments in outdoor programming.
Deborah Ashby Deb Ashby, Director of Dance Initiative Greater Manchester and the Urban Moves International Dance Festival. Originally from Stockport (just south of Manchester), I returned to my roots to take up the post with DiGM in 1999. Other past lives include working for essexdance, touring as company manager with British Gas Ballet Central, working on dance and performance events at the Royal Festival Hall and for a funder in my only non-dance role at the Arts Council of England. An interest in working more directly with performers led me away from the dry business of a funding body to a career in dance management, where I remain today, enhanced by my board membership of Moves.
