moves celebrated 5th anniversary 23-28 April in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and UK-wide.

This year's programme explored the narrative possibilities of movement on screen through more than 20 screenings and installations in 10 venues throughout the North West and the UK showing 150 films.

'With so many approaches to physicality and motion on screen, the festival again highlighted movement and its expressive potential.' Gitta Wigro, Film and Festivals

'It was an awesome event! I was excited and happy that it all came together so beautifully.' Jeannette Ginslov, South African curator

'A lucidly-conceived and intellectually stimulating programme.' Steve Balshaw, Film Curator

If you have missed a screening or a piece, you may be able to see it online. All papers presented at the forums are available too on our website. Our best memories from the fest are also uploaded in our photo gallery.

moves10 dates will be announced shortly.

Have a great summer!

Gala Pujol
Festival Director
