moves @ re:surface, Glasgow, 26 MayThis season moves is teaming up with Dance House (Glasgow) to present the best experimental films of moves10 at re:surface.
By creating a platform for screen-based works re:surface provides an opportunity to focus on the myriad work embraced under the umbrella title of Dance for Camera, in which dance finds new surfaces to express itself, highlighting in particular, new media technologies, including dance & digital arts. re:surface also aims to bring back to the surface some timeless classics and seminal dance film works.
The re:surface screening will present moves10's touring programme themed Framing Motion. It explores how practitioners frame movement with their choice of context and investigate the definition of stillness. The programme will be introduced by Gala Pujol, Festival Director and will be followed up by a Q&A.
