The RNCM is one of Europe’s leading conservatoires and the first choice institution for a large number of aspiring professional musicians from the UK and overseas. Four public venues host a diverse performance programme, featuring a rolling programme of student performances alongside visiting artists and ensembles.
Music is everywhere, and the energy between students, artists and audiences powers the RNCM’s reputation as a major international centre for education, training and performance.
The RNCM will host our three-day conference, our live sound event and most of our screenings.

Carved out of a couple of ramshackle Georgian terraced houses Sandbar opened in 1996 and quickly established itself as a favourite watering hole for students, academics and local people who enjoy speciality beers and friendly conversation in this intimate, independent local. The wall space in Sandbar is devoted to the works of up and coming LOCAL ARTISTS exhibiting their photography, painting, printing, collages and short films, with exhibitions changing on a regular basis.
Sandbar will host moves08 Delegate Centre as well as some installations, night events and our awaited closing night!

The Dukes produces actor-centred contemporary theatre which pushes at the boundaries of technology. Our annual outdoor promenade theatre show in Williamson Park, Lancaster, has become both the biggest tourism & entertainments event in the Lancaster and Morecambe area and an outstanding artistic success.
The Dukes Lancaster will also host two screenings during the festival and a series of installations.

Manchester Metropolitan University (Manchester and Cheshire) is a forward-looking university.
At MMU we are proud of the exceptional breadth of choice we can offer our students and of the University’s links with business, industry, the professions and local communities that contribute to the learning experience.
The University has a varied population, attracting students from a broad range of backgrounds and countries, which contributes to its lively and dynamic atmosphere.
For the second year partnering with moves, MMU will host an installation in the windows of the Righton Building in Manchester and the Eyesweb masterclass on its campus in Crewe.
