Bravo!FACT (Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent) has distributed millions of dollars in grants for the production of hundreds of shorts across Canada. Short films and videos produced with Bravo!FACT grants have been honoured with awards and screenings at festivals around the world including the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Sundance, the Canadian Film Centre's World Wide International Short Film Festival, and other prestigious festivals in NYC, Prague, and Italy.
Bravo!Fact Director Judy Gladstone will be one of our keynote speakers at the conference and will present a special sound and movement Bravo!Fact film programme following her talk.

In 2008, the Clermont-Ferrand festival celebrated its 30th anniversary and presented three competitions mixing film and digital medium, thus bringing greater diversity to the short film format – diversity being its basic principle, its source of uniqueness and vitality.
Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival has renewed its partnership with moves and curated a special retrospective programme of international shorts to be shown at moves08. Not to be missed!

folly is a leading digitali arts organisation. Working in North West of England and online, folly is committed to enabling new audiences to explore art through technology. Focused on Cumbria, Lancashire & online, communicating with and working in partnership with a regional, national and international audience, we develop and deliver content not only online but through a distributed programme of workshops, events, exhibitions, research and consultancy work.
Folly and moves have partnered over the Artcast project. Sound and visual artwork will be ready for download over six weeks starting Thursday 3 April.

Led by Paul Sermon, Professor of Creative Technology at the University of Salford and Andrea Zapp from the Manchester Metropolitan University, the programme draws world-class practice-based researchers to Salford and Manchester, in order to provide valuable experience and inspiration to up-and-coming researchers, and to create a collaborative environment that can establish and enrich creative links between researchers.
REACT scheme supports the invitation of Donal Glowinski from the Eyesweb Infomus Lab. Donald Glowinski will give a lecture on the real time editing software Eyesweb and a one-day tutorial at moves08.

Cinedans is an international dance Film festival that takes place yearly in Amsterdam in the month July during the international dance festival Julidans. We offer outstanding films with dance as the main subject. Our mission is to promote dancefilms and to share the exciting possibilities created by combining camera and dance. We want to expand the relationship between art, dance and film. Cinedans is organized by ‘Stichting Cinedans’, a non-profit foundation promoting themes pertaining to dance films.
